Dear Parent/Carer

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have been informed by Birmingham City Council that Arthur Terry Sports Centre will be closed over the Summer Break in order that building work may be undertaken.

Birmingham City Council have not offered us any alternative accommodation over this period and no viable alternative has been found. In view of the reduced attendance figures we experience over the school holidays, and under these exceptional circumstances, we therefore propose to temporarily suspend classes until the start of the new School Term at which time the building work should be complete and lessons can then recommence as usual.

In order to offset the reduction in lessons during this period against any existing subscription agreements, we also propose to extend your subscription period by the same amount of time as would ordinarily be covered by the subscription during the closure period, plus an additional 2 weeks for your inconvenience. For example, if your subscription expires at the end of September 2010, then we will extend it for a further 8 weeks without cost past this date, before renewal is required.

Whilst we are unhappy that we have to suspend training over this period, it seems the most logical approach, under the circumstances and we hope you will find the above arrangements acceptable.
